From: Johan Lif <johan.lif@vlt.se>

I don't own Cruikshank's books but I've skimmed through them at a book store, and only during that short time I spotted tons of errors. The books provide song-by-song comments for every FZ record, and some of the things written were unbelievable. For example, "Hog Heaven" was reviewed something like this: "Another guitar solo, but Zappa doesn't follow the rhythm, and the bass player doesn't follow the rhythm either so it's no good." (Paraphrased, but I distinctly remember Ben's disappointment that FZ didn't "follow the rhythm".)
You'd be much better off with Ben Watson.

From: Istvan Fekete<IFekete@daten-kontor.hu>

These are the most atrocius books about FZ. They're full of stupid statements like 'Frank has never learned to read music' and so on. That tells all about it.
