It took some time but here is some information about the book. Rolf Ulrich Kaiser describes his visit to Zappa, the making of the film 200 Motels. He writes about Zappa as anti-rockstar, composer, protector of the freaks, electronic social worker, critic of American society and hippies, and filmmaker. But Kaiser criticizes Zappa because Zappa is an ice-cold businessman, marketing his music and ideas, using his musicians, his manager, his public. I remember having read an article where Zappa calls Kaiser an asshole, because he come up with the wrong conclusions. |
