The instrumental recorded at Deutchland Halle, Berlin

From: Netter called Andy
I was wondering if this solo was taken during a live version of Torture
Never Stops. You can hear a woman in the background moaning, and I was
wondering if anyone had any clue about this.

Yes it was. 2/15/78 Deutschlandhalle, Berlin. 2-track soundboards exist of
this show. I think it's even been booted recently.

It is. There are boots around of the 2/15/78 Berlin concert which this
solo comes from (along with "The Sheik Yerbouti Tango").

Absolutely. Confirmed in Negative Dialectics. Also, compare it to the
live cut on Stage 1. Terry Bozzio banging away at the cymbals for all he's
worth. Watson mentions that Frank tried to "rein in" this tendency, and
it's probably what he meant when he told Guitar Player in 1976 about TB:
"He has a tendency to frenzy out a little."

I've always found this ironic, considering that FZ himself was fired from
the Ramblers "because they said I played the cymbals too much." (

30)
